چکیده

The antibiotic susceptibility of 125 P. aeruginosa isolated from 215 clinical samples (blood, urine, wound swab samples, sputum, and cerebrospinal fluid) was determined using the disk diffusion method on Muller-Hinton agar medium. results showed that isolates had a high resistance rate to carbenicillin (83.2%) piperacillin (76%). Resistance imipenem meropenem were 7.4% 14.8%, respectively, while highest found against gentamicin (77.9%) amikacin (75.2%). modified Hodge test used identify carbapenem-resistant isolates, which detects probability being able produce carbapenemases enzyme out 11 (33.3%) positive. imipenem-meropenem-EDTA synergy only 17 (51.5%) carbapenemase genes detected PCR technology, most prevalent MBL genes, carried by 17/33 (51%) isolates. blaIMP gene (578 bp) frequently gene, present in 15 (45.5%) Among blaIMP-type alone, 2 (6.06%) it with blaVIM-type another blaNDM-type gene. Moreover, However, revealed common combination among 4 (12.1%) -type

Molecular Investigation of Outer Membrane Channel Genes Among Multidrug Resistance Clinical Pseudomonas Aeruginosa Isolates

Background: Multidrug resistance Pseudomonas aeruginosa (MDRPA) is most important issue in healthcare setting. It can secrete many virulence effector proteins via its secretion system type (T1SS-T6SS). They are using them as conductor for delivering the effector proteins outside to begins harmful effect on host cell increasing pathogenicity, competition against other microorganism and nutrient ...

Antibiotic resistance profiles of Pseudomonas aeruginosa isolates containing virulence genes

Background: A most common opportunistic pathogen, Pseudomonas aeruginosa is present in both humans and animals and responsible for various nosocomial infections and healthcare settings related infections. Different virulence genes like; oprL (membrane lipoprotein L) and toxA (exotoxin A i.e. ETA) in P. aeruginosa, assist in its pathogenicity, toxicity and contribute to high antibiotic resistanc...

Detection of Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus by Phenotypical and Molecular Methods among Clinical Isolates

Abstract Background and Objective: Increasing prevalence of methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus strains (MRSA) with their multidrug resistance potential causes difficulties in the treatment of infections due to these bacteria. Hence, the detection and determination of the frequency of MRSA strains via phenotypical and molecular methods is necessary in different parts of the county. ...
